SMMP0027. Hard Bass
Repetition is hard for me, so this time I decided to try to repeat myself a bit more. This one started out by me playing the first phrase heard in the song on my keyboard and then deciding to record it aka “find out what kind of rhythm was playing in my head”. This is actually pretty good training, as “music playing in my head” is a very good source for music I have not written down before. Afterwards I decided to give it a comically hard bassline and… actually liked it. To add some flavor I added some chords, but while writing them down I made a mistake, which in the end got made into its own track (the jumpy beep beeps that get harmonized at some point).
For me this track feels like a rather simple piece of work, but I’d also like to get more comfortable with doing that, so it’s a good first step.
